Dr. Neeru Khullar went to the University of Waterloo for her Bachelors of Science Degree. She then went to the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and graduated in 2009 with honors. Dr. Neeru Khullar completed her optometry residency at Park Lands Hospital in Dallas, Texas with some of the best Ophthalmologists in the United States. During this time she gained experience in treating and managing eye diseases from eye trauma, diabetes and glaucoma. While in Dallas, Dr. Neeru Khullar participated in a very busy fast paced clinic where she learnt to effectively diagnose her patients. She also learned that she enjoys educating her patients on their eye conditions and treatment options. To this date, Dr. Neeru Khullar enjoys spending part of her eye examination counselling her patients and ensuring they understand all the test and procedures she performed.

Dr. Neeru Khullar also completed her primary care residency with Dr. Peter Spear and Dr. Ing in Toronto. During this residency she was exposed to patients with severe dry eye and complicated contact lens fits. This helped increase her interest in these area and she has a special interest in dry eye treatment and management and hard contact lenses care.

In her spare time, Dr. Neeru Khullar enjoys spending time with her husband, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys keeping active and making new healthy recipes.

Dr. Nishi Khullar attended the University of Waterloo where she completed her Bachelor of Science and her Doctor of Optometry degrees, both with honours.

During her optometric training she focused on retinal diseases and completed her residency with well-known retinal surgeon Dr. Jordon Cheskes. Dr. Cheskes is also part of the amazing Bochner Eye Institute (the preferred laser eye centre of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors). During her time with Dr. Cheskes and at Bochner Eye Institute, Dr. Nishi Khullar gained valuable clinical experience ranging from treating and managing retinal disease to laser eye surgery for vision correction.

While at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, Dr. Nishi Khullar also had the opportunity to participate in an eye care mission in Guatemala. During this mission, Dr. Nishi Khullar gained valuable experience in diagnosing rare eye diseases and conditions. She was also able to refine her Spanish while performing eye examinations in Spanish.

Dr. Nishi Khullar enjoys educating her patients of the benefits of nutrition and health to keep the eyes and vision healthy. She enjoys getting to know her patients and has an interest in growing with her patients. When away from the office, Dr. Nishi Khullar enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She is an avid reader and enjoys practicing yoga.
